11TH MARCH 2006 – IRISH CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8
BURTON MAKES IT FOUR IN A ROW
Michael
shaded a narrow victory at the Mid-Antrim Club Shane Cup Trial,
round eight of the Irish Championship, with one mark in hand over
Robert Crawford with current title-holder Andy Perry third. Time
played its part on the final results, as Michael and Andy both lost
33 penalties on observation. Gareth and Robert both had inconsistent
performances and also suffered from the dreaded addition of time
penalties. Having won the last four Irish rounds on the bounce,
Michael now has a great chance to clinch his first A class title,
go for Burtstar!
