MONDAY
10TH APRIL – WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TRIAL,
Round
two of the World championship followed the European event as in
Spain the previous week, with our two Trialstar men ready to give
it all they got once again. Bert simply carried on were he had left
of the previous day with an improved finishing place of 11th in
Youth 125cc Class. This is especially pleasing for the Bangor schoolboy
as he now proved to himself he could mix it with the best 16yr olds
in the World. Well done the ‘Bertstar’. Gareth decide
mid week to ride in the Junior World Cup class as a guest rider
for the day. This meaning he could compete but would not be classified
in the final results. Speaking to the Bull on Sunday evening he
felt he made the right decision as he enjoy the day and for the
record his score would have earned 11th place. The reason why Gareth
cannot compete in this particular class is due to the ruling of
a maximum age limit of 21 year olds.
